Breast augmentation costs are very different. It is hard to set the exact price. It’s value depends on the type of implant (shape, filling, surface, producer) and also on the difficulty and type of the surgery. The augmentation cost is not influenced by the implant’s size! The cost depends also on the regional differences, practice of performing surgeon or clinic and their experiences. More experienced surgeons usually perform the surgery for higher price although on the other hand higher price does not mean better quality. It is good to find out all information and references before choosing a surgeon or clinic.
The cost usually involves the surgery (approximately 25 thousand crowns), anesthesia (approximately 4-6 thousand), pre-surgical examination, implants, analgosedation (around 3 thousand crowns), post-surgical care, drugs, analgesics, check ups after the surgery and bandages. The patient must pay also for the consultation before the surgery (approximately 500 crowns), elastic underwear that is necessary after the surgery (around 1500 crowns) and the hospitalization (around 1000 crowns/day). These amounts are usually not included in the given prices.
The average implant price is around $1,000, it depends on its type. Teardrop or anatomic implants are always more expensive than round. The size of implant does not influence the cost. The actual surgery’s cost is $3,000, the stay at the hospital around $1,000, the same for general anesthesia. The price is naturally lower if local anesthesia is used during which the patient is conscious. This type of anesthesia is almost not used in breast enlargement.
The augmentation cost in the Czech Republic is between 40 to 70 thousand crowns. The biggest part of the amount belongs to breast implants. Round implants are cheaper, their price does not exceed 30 thousand crowns. Teardrop (anatomic) shape of implants are more expensive, they cost 40 to 50 thousand crowns.
Health insurance companies in the Czech Republic do not cover the breast augmentation surgery from cosmetic reasons, the patient must cover the whole amount herself.
The patient usually needs to pay an advance payment, the rest of the price is then paid on the day of hospitalization. Some surgeons and clinics offer the possibility of installments because of relatively high amount.
The above mentioned prices are only for your orientation, the definite amount is set after the individual consultation.
