Due to great amount of surgical methods and ways of breast enhancement it is hard to set the exact treatment cost. The price depends on the regional practices, type of surgery and used anesthesia, skills and experiences of plastic surgeon. Less experienced plastic surgeon is less expensive and also the surgery that are less difficult and less time consuming. The quality and cosmetic effect might be then worse. On the other hand too expensive surgery never guarantees the best result. The patients should not choose the place of surgery according to cost but at first find out all details and references.
The definite breast augmentation cost is set mostly after pre-surgical consultation.
As in the Czech Republic the surgery for cosmetic reasons is not covered by health insurance companies also abroad, the patient covers breast enhancement herself. Total costs abroad range from $4 000 to $10 000 (around 100 thousand to 200 thousand crowns), i.e. it is few times higher than in the Czech Republic. To compare it the average breast augmentation cost in the Czech Republic is 50 to 60 thousand crowns, in Poland 73 thousand crowns and in Croatia 90 thousand crowns. The price includes usually the surgical procedure, cost for medical material and drugs, two implants and post-operative check ups. Other costs such as elastic underwear, stay at the hospital and consultation is usually covered by the patient separately.
Abroad there are used some methods that are not used in the Czech Republic such as breast modification with own fat, muscle or the area of navel as an approaching place of the surgery. They can substantially change the price of the procedure.
